Both the Junior B and Junior A Footballers were in league action over the past weekend, with a win and a loss to show for their efforts. On Thursday last, the Junior B's, with a young side, made the long journey to Ballynoe to take on the home side St. Catherines in the East Cork JFL Division 3. It was the Saints who emerged with the win by the narrowest of margins, 1-06 to 1-05, John Forde scoring the goal for Carraig in a game that was right in the balance up into the closing stages.

On Sunday, Carraig hosted Erins Own in the third round of the Avondhu/Imokilly JFL Div 1. Despite missing a number of key players through injury, Carraig ground out a hard fought win on a scoreline of 2-06 to 1-08. Tony Dunne and Con Burns found the net for Carraig, while super sub Ricky Galvin kicked the winning point from a free with just a few minutes remaining.
